Assessment of quality of life in patients with surgically treated maxillofacial fractures

Background: The complex nature of maxillofacial injuries can affect the surgical treatment outcomes and general well-being patient. To evaluate efficiency treatment, assessment quality life (QOL) patients is vital importance. Due to absence an exclusive QOL tool for fractures, we introduce ‘Twenty-point in facial trauma Indian population'. aim this study was assess following management based on severity injury. Methods: consisted 182 subjects divided into two groups 91 each (Group A: severe injury Group B: mild moderate injury). Facial Injury Severity Scale (FISS) used determine fractures injuries. twenty–point includes Zone 1 (Psychosocial impact) 2 (Functional aesthetic impact), with ten domains QOL. Results: In 1, mean scores A B were 38.6 39.26, respectively. 2, (44.56) had higher compared (32.92) (p< 0.001). (83.8) (71.58) when total both taken consideration (p<0,001). A, 9 out a score 81- 100 68 same range B. Conclusions: Proper adequate care hard soft tissues improve by reducing postoperative psychosocial functional complications. Aesthetic play important role determining QOL. Mild/ Moderate show better injuries.
